Artist Bio
Collin Parsons is a student filmmaker currently located in the Bristol, Tennessee area as he finishes his bachelor’s degree in Digital Media Art and Design with a concentration in film. Aspiring to be a Director of Photography, Collin has spent the past eight years learning all aspects of the film industry through his work and experience. As a cinematographer and photographer, his shaping of light, color, composition, and camera movement is adapted project to project to present a visually pleasing image that matches the narrative. He has worked on several independent short films and has seen his work exhibited regionally. Collin has also worked as the graphic designer for the King University Men’s Soccer strategic plan document. 
Prior to relocating to the Northeast Tennessee, Collin worked as an assistant for a local photographer in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. He also worked as a camera operator for the Volusia County school system. When not working on personal or student projects, he is searching for work either as a video editor, grip, personal assistant, or camera operator. Currently, Collin is working on a short documentary that will be released in middle of April. Driven to get in the industry, he is open to all opportunities to develop the necessary skills to become a Director of Photography.
